A strong strategic plan will guide us in achieving this through professionalism, education and adaptation.
With an uncertain market our position remains clear. We will continue to work diligently to provide homeownership and investment property opportunities. We willingly and enthusiastically will see to it that C.A.R. will continue to lead the way for all things real estate.
ADVOCACY
We are our most valuable resource. REALTORS® contribute to the growth of our communities by expanding accessibility in making homeownership a reality, which greatly enhances the quality of life. Our grassroots efforts in local communities and districts, state and the national level largely contribute to economic growth.
We must persist in increasing our influence and expanding our reach to legislators who are REALTOR® champions and will support our efforts to make the American Dream a reality for all. A strong fiscal presence will help us achieve that.
REPRESENTATION
One of the few things we have control over is who we R. REALTORS® are tenacious in working for our clients - the consumer. We must continue to lead the way in our great state as our contributions support our place as the 5th largest economy in the world.
I will proudly represent and be the voice for our members. In collaboration with the leadership team, I will work tirelessly to run and operate our association as a business. We all share a vested interest in this business and that is our success. I want you to succeed. I want us to succeed.

ABOUT LARRY BLACK
My name is Larry Black and I am proud to be a candidate for C.A.R. Treasurer 2026-2027. My unwavering commitment to this organization and industry is a result of watching my REALTOR® parents work hard to help people in our communities and welcome those from afar to have the opportunity to own a home, the opportunity to live out the American dream and the opportunity to build intergenerational wealth.
I am grateful to continue our family’s business to what is now the third generation of real estate professionals. With over four decades of experience and expertise leading multiple brokerages title and escrow offices I am well equipped to preside over C.A.R.'s fiscal position through pragmatic/dynamic budgeting. Safeguarding our financial well-being is paramount. I will ensure that our strategic plan is crafted and executed with our members' pocketbooks in mind.
I have navigated through 6 economic cycles. I have been called upon to serve and Chair the Budget and Finance Committee at my local association multiple times, most recently in 2020 when faced with unprecedented circumstances and we flourished. I have served as local association president 3 times, most notably in 2009 as we recovered from the largest economic downturn in our lifetimes and we prevailed. My service as a Director at C.A.R. is over 25 years. In 2020, I was honored to be elected as a Director for Life, one of the most prestigious awards that can bestow on a member. I have been appointed to over 10 leadership roles at C.A.R. My experience led me to serve on the C.A.R. Investment Subcommittee twice and I am honored to currently serve as the Industry Information and Membership Services Committee Liaison. At the National level I have Chaired the Conventional Finance and Policy Committee, participated in roundtable discussions on GSE reform, property appraisals, and have chaired subgroups whose recommendations have led to established national policy. While our advocacy at the local, federal, state national levels help shape our policy, innovation will propel us forward. My service on the MLS for close to 10 years brings great value to the table and my expertise from service on the first venture capital advisory group since 2021, which entails the evaluation of financial positions and investment strategies of real estate technology companies all make me remarkably qualified to serve as your next C.A.R. Treasurer.
We now have the unique opportunity for a fresh start. We have the experience. We have the talent that carries the expertise to revitalize and elevate our profession through our entrepreneurial spirit. That’s what REALTORS® do. That’s who REALTORS® are and I can lead the charge. I look forward to building opportunities together. I look forward to building for the future.
